How do you react to the question: Are you being deceived?
If you’re like me, you were quick to say, “Of course not.”
Yet the very meaning of the word means we’re unable to realize when it has happened. (Logically, if we say we’re being deceived, it confirms we are not.)
In truth, deception is a real risk (1 Corinthians 3:18). We must guard against it.
Since we can’t tell when we’re being deceived, what should we do?
Our best response is to turn this concern over to God. We should pray about it. This is the best way to protect ourselves from being misled.
Our daily prayer should be, “Keep me from being deceived.”
Start praying this today, and don’t stop.
