Do You Hold an Unexamined Theology?
Know What You Believe and Why
Many people hold an unexamined theology. They believe certain things about God but don’t know why.
It’s an easy trap to fall into.
We may hear instruction at church or from ministers, accepting it without verification.
We may embrace what family and friends tell us because it aligns with what we want to hear.
We may listen to society’s views on spirituality, taking what we like and rejecting the rest.
Even worse is making up our own religion, welcoming whatever makes us feel good or doesn’t confront our habits.
Instead, we must examine what we believe (Acts 17:11). Does it align with Scripture?
If our theology isn’t built on the foundation of God’s word, we’re building our house on sand (Matthew 7:26). It won’t stand.
