In the sermon on the mount, Jesus tells his audience to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness (Matthew 6:28-34).
When we do, all these things will be added unto us. What’s that cover? It's what we eat, drink, and wear. It's the necessities of life.
We shouldn't worry about these things because Father God already knows what we need. He will provide them for us when we seek him first and his righteousness.
Therefore, we shouldn't worry about the future. We shouldn't even worry about tomorrow.
We should focus on today. This means seeking God first, concentrating on his kingdom and right living.
What would it mean if we lived with a kingdom-first perspective? If we pursued righteousness above all else?
