Paul writes that we have freedom through Jesus to serve one another in love, to love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves.
Yet “if you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other” (Galatians 5:13-15).
Many Christians today bite and devour each other through their judgmental words.
They dismiss and even shun their brothers and sisters in Christ because of differences over theology, faith practices, and how to best follow Jesus.
Instead of joining together to tell others about him, we fight among ourselves. This sends the wrong message. It's no wonder the world thinks poorly of us.
What can we do today to better get along with other followers of Jesus?
Consider This
“We don’t need to change our behavior to earn our salvation. Instead, after Jesus saves us, we decide to act differently in response to what he has done for us.” -Peter DeHaan, from Run with Perseverance
