Just because someone says they’re a Christian doesn’t mean they are. Instead of following Jesus, they follow a self-determined path.
A secular Christian abides by a worldly perception of faith: do good things and love others.
A true Christian follows Jesus as his disciple (Luke 9:23). They tell others about Jesus and live to honor him.
But they don’t live holy lives to earn their salvation. Instead, they strive to live holy lives because of their salvation.
Right living (righteousness) is a response, not a requirement.
A real Christian does what the Bible says. A secular Christian has never read it—or they have but dismiss the parts they don’t like.
A true Christian follows Jesus, embraces the Bible, and lives to honor their Lord.
